Wear or bring comfortable clothing — the more skin the light can reach, the more it has to work with. Then you lie down in the pod, and that is genuinely the hard part done.
A few unhurried minutes later you are finished. There is no downtime and no after-effects to plan around, so you can head right back to the courts, the boat, or a walk on the bay. Most people leave feeling comfortably warm and unusually relaxed.
