What is red light therapy?
Red light therapy — known clinically as photobiomodulation, and sometimes as low-level laser therapy or LED therapy — is the use of specific wavelengths of light to influence how cells function. The two wavelengths that matter most are red light at 660nm and near-infrared at 850nm. Both are absorbed deep in the tissue by the mitochondria, the structures inside each cell that produce ATP, the body’s cellular energy.
When cells have more energy to work with, the research associates this with improved local circulation, a calmer inflammatory response, and more efficient tissue repair. That combination is why the treatment appears in conversations about everything from athletic recovery to skin health. Importantly, it is evidence-based and non-invasive, but it is not a cure and results vary from person to person.
How the NovoTHOR delivers it
Many red light devices treat one small area at a time. The NovoTHOR® is different: it is a whole-body bed, FDA-cleared and built to professional standards, that bathes the full length of your body in therapeutic light simultaneously. You simply lie down, relax, and let a short session do its work. There is no recovery period and nothing to manage afterward, so it fits easily into a busy Marlboro-area schedule.
The full range of benefits
Because the treatment works at the cellular level, its potential benefits are broad. Here is an extensive, though not exhaustive, overview — each links to a deeper explanation.

Red light therapy and the Claytons Corner community
Claytons Corner is a residential community within Marlboro Township, with a strong sense of place and a blend of rural charm and suburban convenience. The surrounding area supports an active, wellness-minded lifestyle — fitness centers and yoga studios in nearby Marlboro and Matawan, farmers markets, and the parks and open spaces that make outdoor recreation part of daily life. Local landmarks like Beacon Hill, the historic section of Bradevelt, and nearby Wickatunk give the area its character.
Whole-body red light therapy slots naturally into that culture as the recovery and maintenance piece of a healthy routine. What Claytons Corner does not have next door is a NovoTHOR® bed — and that is exactly the short trip our Howell studio exists to make worthwhile.
What to expect at your visit
A first appointment is refreshingly simple. You arrive to free on-site parking and spend a few minutes talking through what you would like to improve. You then change into minimal clothing so the light can reach your skin, and settle into the NovoTHOR® bed for a short whole-body session. There is nothing to do but relax while the red and near-infrared light does its work, and when you are finished there is no downtime — you dress and carry on with your day. Most people find the biggest benefit comes from returning consistently rather than from a single session, so we are happy to help you plan a rhythm that suits your schedule and your goals.
