Preparation

Arrive with clean skin, free of heavy lotions, oils or makeup so the light reaches the skin directly. No fasting, hydration protocol or pre-treatment is required.
Positioning

You lie down and the bed encloses the full length of the body. Coverage is uniform, so no region is prioritised over another.
Exposure

Approximately fifteen minutes of red and near-infrared light. No ultraviolet output, no clinically significant heat and no sensation beyond mild warmth.
Discharge

Dress and resume normal activity immediately. There is no observation period and no post-session restriction.

Evidence and safety

Photobiomodulation has been studied across musculoskeletal recovery, dermatology and circulation for decades. The mechanism is well characterised: red light near 660 nanometers is absorbed superficially, near-infrared near 850 nanometers penetrates toward muscle and joint tissue, and both are taken up by mitochondria, which respond by increasing ATP production and reducing oxidative stress.

The NovoTHOR® bed is an FDA-cleared device. The therapy is non-invasive, drug-free and needle-free, and it does not involve ultraviolet exposure at any point.
